How Was the US Job Market in the Past Year?
It’s unclear whether this report is reliable, but from 2020 to November 2021, statistics showed that 43.1 million Americans were unemployed, and only 6.8 million of those who quit their jobs went back to looking for work.
The travel and hotel industry had 15.8 million unemployed people.
The retail sector had 7 million unemployed individuals.
The commercial services sector also reached 7 million unemployed people.
However, a fortunate fact is that nearly 30% of people who found flexible employment did not see their income drop much compared to before they were unemployed, and many have even started their own companies (an increase of 600,000 new businesses compared to a year ago).
