Criticism may reveal their folly, praise may mask their need

If someone insults you, it may be because they are foolish.
But if someone praises you, it could simply be because they're in a good mood or need something from you.
Never assume that the person praising you is actually impressive. Most people are foolish and fickle, and even more so are those who are calculating and constantly shift their loyalties. #ReadingNotes
