Here’s a solid framework to study scams:

1. They’ll claim there’s an inheritance dispute or a mistress is trying to steal your fortune, and you need to pay tens of thousands of dollars in legal fees to secure the assets. In return, they promise you’ll receive tens of millions in property afterward.

2. They’ll fabricate a tragic backstory, saying they’ve started a fund to solve the same problem, but because their investment failed or their account was frozen, they need you to dig into your pocket and hand over tens of thousands of dollars to help them out.

3. They’ll pitch themselves as an entrepreneur behind a real, verifiable project that already has well-known clients. To raise capital for the next phase, they’re selling a stake, usually hoping you’ll part with a few hundred thousand dollars for a piece of the equity.

Honestly, every email I’ve read on this makes me want to dig deeper and see exactly how it all plays out.
