My Facebook Interview Experience
Facebook typically conducts background checks and won’t deliberately test you on unfamiliar topics. Instead, they’ll focus on having you communicate in the technical language you’re most comfortable with.
The basic interview process isn’t very different from Google’s. The general flow is as follows:
• Understanding your background and current situation
• Gauging your understanding of and interest in the role you’re applying for
• Confirming that you have basic English listening and speaking communication skills
• Administering roughly 10–20 very fundamental technical questions to ensure you’re not completely clueless—which serves as an initial screening to save subsequent interviewers’ formal interview time
Before each round, they’ll provide you with a summary of the previous one. Even if you’re rejected, they’ll give you a clear explanation of the reasons.
