No one is responsible for the “leeks” because, in the entire ecosystem, leeks are meant to be harvested.
Just as wolves eat sheep and sheep eat grass—and grass keeps growing on the savanna for the sheep to consume—leeks occupy a供养 (supportive) position in the entire ecosystem, sustaining the whole chain.
If leeks don’t want to be harvested, they should stop being leeks and break out of the grassroots ecological chain.
