Bosses don’t PUA on purpose – they just think you’re not worth the money

First, are you increasingly rating yourself lower and growing more dependent on the company mentally?
Second, is your work lacking a sense of accomplishment, or are you not progressing.
If both answers are yes, leave quickly.
Most bosses don't criticize people to intentionally PUA them; they simply feel you're not worth the money and that their investment has been wasted. Overtime and mental torment are ways for them to recoup losses psychologically.
If your boss just constantly scolds you and pressures you with performance reviews, their goal isn't to control you—it's to drive you out.
