Resource Talent Can Directly Join Banks
In Inner Mongolia, bringing in “resource-based” employees is straightforward: a 10-million-yuan deposit secures a bank job. (It’s basically VIP-member perks—guaranteed employment.) But to keep your position long-term with official staffing status, you need an annual deposit of 30 million yuan; fall short of that target and you could face layoffs.
Large banks require 50 million yuan. (Now it’s common for open positions to be quietly reserved for resource-backed hires rather than posted publicly.)
For ordinary hires, the typical threshold is a 3-million-yuan referral deposit. Some employees don’t even need to show up to the office—as long as they hit their deposit target, they collect their salary without ever clocking in. The only requirement is that the deposited funds never drop below the agreed amount.
It’s hard to say which side of this is the truth.
