Side Hustles in the United States in 2022

According to a survey, 40% of Americans have a side hustle, up 6% from a year ago. Nearly half report spending less than 10 hours per week on their side hustle, while those with one earn an average of $12,689 annually. About 37% earn $5,000 or more per year from their side hustle, and roughly 17% earn $15,000 or more (roughly $500 a month).

Younger people are more likely to have a side hustle.
