While Gugouxue's customer acquisition costs for the first three quarters of 2019 were RMB 524, RMB 466, and RMB 615 respectively—far lower than the RMB 1,300 and RMB 1,000 reported by Xuexi Wangxiao and Yuanfudao—the revenue per teacher at Gugouxue vastly outperformed the industry average, reaching four times that of TAL Education Group in 2018 and a staggering thirteen times in 2019.
