The Cost of Talent
There are two types of people: one type is driven by an intrinsic need to grow and feed themselves; the other doesn’t hunger, so you have to force-feed them, and even then, they spit out half of it.
If we only look at the results, these two types sometimes seem similar—both appear to become successful. But in reality, the wild and the domesticated are different, just like free-range chicken versus a bird pumped full of hormones. The key difference is this: once you leave your parents’ support, what external force would be willing to go to such great lengths to force-feed you?
External support doesn’t just consider your current position—it also weighs your potential. What’s the cost it took for you to reach where you are now? Is investing in you worth it?
In the real world, you must lower your own costs to create opportunities—even if it means accepting a role you dislike, that’s still an opportunity.OpenLife's Pandora's Box
