Who Loses the Most? Naive People.

The last thing on their mind is what they have, what they want, or what they should give up — it’s always what’s wrong with the company.

The company belongs to the boss, not you. Worrying about it on their behalf won’t earn you gratitude.

To a boss, new employees — especially fresh graduates — are no different from how you see your mouse and keyboard.

Do you expect your mouse and keyboard to have ideas of their own? Of course not. They’re tools: you press N, and N appears. If you press N and A shows up instead, what would you do? You’d get them fixed.

In the workplace, if you’re a frontline employee who acts like that, the boss will have middle management fix you instead.
