The Tittytainment Trap (Entertainment Numbing Trap)

· 站长

In the 1990s, American sociologist Brzezinski proposed the "Tittytainment" theory, which suggests providing venting entertainment or mass entertainment—such as video games, short videos, and soap operas—to the underclass.

These forms of entertainment exploit immediate feedback through algorithms to stimulate dopamine secretion, hijacking people's attention and crowding out time for learning and thinking. This erodes deep reading abilities and traps individuals in short-term pleasure, robbing them of the drive to improve and the capacity to think, making it impossible to elevate themselves and change their fate.
