Boss and employee are in a zero-sum game
CategoryReading Notes
Once a boss grows big—really big—the relationship with his brothers becomes a game of strategy.
He wants to keep his brothers positioned on the war wagon, performing on stage while he stays behind the scenes. If trouble arises, he’ll drop a pawn to save the chariot, just like a gecko shedding its tail.
But the brothers think the same way. They want to use the big boss as their banner, tying him in so he can’t escape and is ultimately forced to stay for their sake.
This is a game of strategy: everyone wants the other person in the front line while keeping their own hands clean. #ReadingNotes
