The pressure of life is really too much

If it weren't for the OP, their income wouldn't seem that high. The couple's pre-tax monthly income is 40,000, with a mortgage payment of 10,000 and 5,000 going to the mother-in-law for childcare—so it's not exactly lavish.

But as my wife's salary was cut, we started feeling that giving so much to my mother-in-law was too much, and now want to reduce it to ease financial pressure.
