Make the Most of Your Youth: Try, Fail, and Experience

If you get "graduated" from your company at 40—know that it's highly likely in the tech industry—then those who have tried and failed will find themselves in a completely different position from those who haven't. By the time you're 40 and facing layoffs, all the explorations and trial-and-error experiences from your 20s will play back in your mind like an old movie, on repeat—about 15 times over. You'll have that depth of retrospective experience to draw upon, making sudden changes feel less terrifying.
