Regular Employees Are Just Cogs in the Machine
Have you noticed that executives and bosses never eat with regular employees? When they do eat with staff, it’s not a personal hangout—it’s a team-building event or a company-sponsored dinner.
The goal is to build loyalty so they can more easily push overtime.
Deep down, they’ll never see you as a friend. To them, you’re just a lackey—either their lackey or someone else’s.
If you deliberately slow down work to frustrate your manager, do you think he’ll hold a grudge? No. He’ll focus all his energy on taking down your boss.
Because he knows that once he removes your current leader, you’ll automatically fall under his control. And after bringing you in, he won’t take revenge.
He understands that back then, you were just loyal to your own side—understandably so.
Not only will he not resent you, he’ll still use you—just like he did with your former boss. He’ll schedule you for overtime, send you on business trips, hand you one task after another.
Why?
Because in his eyes, ordinary employees are just peripherals—mice, keyboards, tools.
