Different Reasons

Consumerism: The dress you buy today isn't the same as the one you'll buy 20 years from now—can you even still fit into it, and will it still look good?

Saving mindset:

Do you want to live comfortably in the present, or are you willing to give up some of your current happiness for the future? That's the cruelest part of it all—you think you have a choice, only to realize that living comfortably is an illusion. The easy path you took in your youth was just digging a hole for later; the whims of your twenties become the unfillable gaps of your forties. This kind of life isn't peaceful and quiet—it's merely drifting through time, settling for security over meaning.
