Bridging the Wealth Gap Is Hard—Happiness Comes from Hustling

For thousands of years, humans have maintained balance thanks to two forces: the lazy sons of wealthy landowners, and the swift-footed children who have no umbrella.
If rich kids outcompete one another while poor kids grow too lazy to think, the scales will tilt sharply toward one side.

To sustain high growth, inequality inevitably widens. To emulate the West’s livestock-style industrial farming invites capital flight and job losses.

So how can we keep high growth while narrowing the wealth gap? The only path is to encourage everyone to study hard, improve daily, and keep pace with the crowd.
Unless the cognitive gap closes, the wealth gap can rarely be reduced at its root.
