There Are No Truly Free Speech Platforms in China

What you see is mostly content that’s been designated as visible.

There’s a problem shared across Weibo, public accounts, and virtually every other content platform:

Your comments and replies are managed by the author. They have the right to block, delete, or prevent others from seeing them.

Beyond the author, platforms also control your content—they restrict who can see what you’ve posted.

For most people, there’s no fundamental freedom of expression or freedom to have your content seen.

Those without power aren’t considered worthy of being heard or seen when they speak up.

What exactly is power?
It’s when I say something you don’t want to hear, yet you still have to listen—you can’t argue back. That’s real power, and it’s quite pure.
