The Merchant’s Greatest Skill: Constructing Meaning

They sell you face, they sell you vanity, and you dig into your pocket, pull out your money, and hand it over.

You have a need, I fulfill it. If I can fulfill it in bulk, I make money—and sometimes, I can even control you.

Likewise, only someone who clearly understands what they’re implanting in the customer’s mind, and then gets the customer’s money into their own pocket, deserves to be called a product manager.
