If you’re doing cross-border e-commerce or are interested in it, check out this case study.

It walks through the process in detail — from spotting demand to getting your first sales.

First, use Google Trends to find markets where demand is growing.

Then go to Amazon and look for products with strong sales under those trending keywords.

Find suppliers on 1688, then customize and private-label (pick items in the same category with few reviews but high ratings, responsive factories that cooperate well, and can coordinate on adding English manuals to improve service).

Next, study what services Amazon sellers are offering. Keep what you can replicate, figure out how to improve where you fall short, and aim to match mainstream service levels as closely as possible.

Then create ad creatives and launch campaigns. Start with 10–20 ad groups and a $40/day budget while the algorithm learns. Once performance takes off, increase your ad spend.
