Advice to My 2022 Self
Don't rush to quit your job or jump ship, even if you're offered a high salary by a headhunter. It could be a trap—maybe a colluded ploy between the company and the recruiter to push you into resigning on your own.
If you're completely happy with your company, that likely means you don't deserve it. Stay alert. (The same applies to dating.)
If you're extremely unhappy, constantly complaining, but refuse to leave, that likely means you're not good enough for something better.
A psychologically healthy boss won't deliberately make things difficult for an employee. On the contrary, when he sees someone capable, he'll go to great lengths to court and retain that profit-generating talent.
You should keep asking yourself: After leaving this company, can you still reliably earn as much money as you do now?
Don't believe in get-rich-quick schemes, easy money, or false promises of financial freedom. Don't invest recklessly, and don't lend money casually. If you do lend, accept the possibility that you'll never see it again.
