Real entrepreneurship is winning by any means necessary
The core idea is in the title.
Cut costs by any means necessary. There’s no need to lease a large space from the start—get started with one or two workstations, and only consider a bigger place once you’re profitable. The goal is to maximize cash flow, keep it stable, and survive as long as possible. Rent office equipment instead of buying it; if employees can bring their own laptops, even better. Who knows how long the company will last? If you buy equipment and the business folds, the depreciation hit is brutal.
For social security and similar obligations, use a third-party provider rather than hiring an internal team—it’s a waste.
The same logic applies to operations. Slash anything that doesn’t directly impact the business: daily work reports, unnecessary copywriting polish, detail images, and other busywork. Focus on high-efficiency tasks that produce results early on.
In short, you haven’t turned a profit yet. Keep expenses lean, boost productivity, embrace the imperfections of startup life, and wait until you’re profitable before making changes.
After all, every saved yuan is worth more than the cost of acquiring it.
