Tips for Selling Physical Products

1. Should you create a physical product to sell? You know there's a significant profit opportunity from the start, otherwise it wouldn't be worth pursuing.

2. The easiest way to understand your product's audience is yourself. What would you personally want to buy? Are there any useful tools or items you've previously made for yourself? If a product idea is something you'd be interested in buying, then it's almost certain there are other people like you who would also be interested.

3. Either invent something new for an underserved niche market, or create a top-tier product that breaks into a popular category in some way to meet unfulfilled consumer demand.

4. If you can't come up with a convincing fifteen-second pitch for your product, maybe it's not exciting enough to sell well.

5. There are two key factors to remember that determine a product's profitability: product cost and pricing power. Make sure every order is profitable.

6. Get real feedback from people who are willing to open their wallets. Don't trust the words of those who don't pay.

7. Price is your friend. Be bold—set your selling price at four times the cost. If you don't believe people would pay 4-10 times what you sell it for, your business will face a tough fight.
