Our energy supply relies heavily on imports. Given that dependency, shifting to new energy is purely a matter of timing, not direction. No country wants to be held hostage in critical sectors, but electricity is entirely within our control—we have coal, hydro, wind, and nuclear power all under one roof. Oil, however, depends on imports. Once you drive a new energy vehicle, you'll notice the electricity cost is significantly lower than fuel.

There's no need to doubt electric cars—they're inevitable for us. The real question is just whether "soon" or "later." Having a charging-capable parking spot matters a lot. If yours doesn't support charging, it's worth swapping it now while others are still figuring this out. Trade your spot in the middle of the garage, where you can't run a charger, for one at the edge that allows installation. In the future, a parking space's value in cities may depend more on its charging capability than on parking itself.
