Leeks Are Always Betting, Always Predicting

When you lay out the reasons, that's called science. Without reasons, it's prediction—gambling.

Businesspeople aren't placing bets. If A doesn't happen, they're already set to do B. If A doesn't profit, B will. When one door closes, another opens—they always make money.

The kind of investing retail investors understand is a completely different thing from what businesspeople understand.

The former invests like gamblers; the latter invests like they're running a business. Running a business simply means figuring out what you're getting paid for, and when that no longer pays, identifying the alternative that serves as a hedge and generates profit instead.
