Private Assets Correspond to Private Education

· 站长

To put it plainly, the real test is of the parents. Your child isn’t that important; what matters is whether the parents have their own family business to pass down through generations.

The schools their children attend are essentially designed to let the second, third, fourth, and even fifth and sixth generations grow up playing together, building relationships and rapport. When they eventually become heirs to various business conglomerates, they’ll need to cooperate. Attending school in a continuous system helps cement these alliances.

But in China, private education was disrupted by the gaokao (college entrance exam), which is why wealthy families are so keen on sending their children abroad for higher education.
