If there's something a talent scout can do, you can too; if they can't do it, you can't either. The issue is, why would a talent scout go out of their way to promote you? Only when you can achieve what they can't will you have a chance for an exception. But when you demonstrate such ability, you'll make the talent scout worry they can't control you. You need to show vulnerability, appear as just a tool in their hands. You must deliberately or proactively display weaknesses to seem easy to manage.
