From what recent articles suggest, Mixue currently favors experienced existing franchisees. In other words, if you submit a good location and apply to franchise, Mixue will try to allocate that site to a nearby veteran franchisee who has been operating for a few years and making money—rather than opening it to new entrants (to ensure success rates). Additionally, the three-year contract renewal requires you to fund Mixue to handle renovations (effectively a hefty renewal fee), and the franchise distance protection is now zero.
In short, it's becoming increasingly hard for newcomers. That said, a single store's monthly revenue averages 80,000–110,000 RMB. After deducting costs, successful stores can still make some money. Brokerage firms estimate the ceiling at 50,000 stores, and they're already approaching that cap.
