Essential Skills for a Businessman
First thing: overcome your own human nature.
Don't try to have your cake and eat it too. Say this to yourself: you get what you pay for. For 50 bucks, you can't get something worth 100. If you think otherwise, you'll inevitably fall into a trap.
Second thing: respect other people's human nature.
You yourself shouldn't rely on human nature, but you'd better hope everyone else does. If everyone were like you, there'd be only one business in the world: Foxconn. You'd work yourself to death and still make no money.
Only consumers are like this—naive, only thinking about what they want, never about what others want. People will eventually wake up. Either you wake up early, or you get fooled so many times that you wake up painfully.
Starting doesn't mean the end. Life is dynamic. Some people work extremely hard to climb to a higher vantage point and enjoy the view. Even if their family background isn't great, they still study hard, get into top-tier universities, work hard, and join top-tier companies. Once they become industry leaders and gain leverage, they proactively move closer to the capital market to become "XXs."
