They are simply people whose time is worthless.

Livestreaming, online games, and short-form video are all the same thing. Their rise is rooted in the fact that society now has a vast population of marginalized individuals—people who are no longer valued and whom society no longer needs.

In the US, they’d be left to drink and do drugs. We can’t really do that here; we still have to keep them physically alive. So in a spiritual sense, you could say they’ve been intubated. They’ve slipped into a life of pure conditioned reflex. On the outside, they have arms and legs and can move around fine—but mentally, they’ve become puppets. They’re no longer in control of themselves; they’re reduced to nothing but automatic responses.
