Who Exactly Are Ordinary People?

Most people, when they say this, aren’t describing a state or a social class—they’re describing their expectations of themselves. What they really mean is: I don’t want to change myself, but I still want to change my destiny. “Ordinary person” = I’m unwilling to change myself.

All that characterizes an ordinary person is greed and resentment.

If your family has even one person willing to break through from 0 to 1, your family will prosper—because one gives birth to two, two to three, and three to all things. Otherwise, it will decline, because zero can’t produce anything.
