Men must first pass an asset verification process, satisfying at least one of the following three conditions: (1) total assets of 30 million RMB or more (primarily including financial assets, art investments, and real estate); (2) pre-tax annual income of 2 million RMB or more; or (3) simultaneously meeting both assets of 20 million RMB or more and pre-tax annual income of 1 million RMB or more. Additionally, they must pay a registration fee of 2,700–3,300 RMB. Female guests are also screened, but under different criteria. To qualify, women must meet at least three of the following four requirements: high physical attractiveness; graduated from a top-tier university (985, 211, QS Top 200, or an equivalent prestigious arts institution); born in 1995 or later; and assets of 10 million RMB or more. After passing an interview, female participants can join the event free of charge.
However, based on some feedback, the experience is just so-so. Some attendees try to take advantage of the system, and it’s quite similar to regular matchmaking events. Many leave after hearing the introductions and skip the subsequent interactive segments, so some sessions have even canceled those parts. Overall, the only thing guaranteed is the asset threshold for attendees, but everyone there tends to be more assertive and less compromising.
