The Bank of China's credit card app has also been shut down. With this, it seems to have kicked off a trend of major banks closing their credit card apps. I expect credit card apps to be shut down one by one soon.
Shutting them down is fine. There won't be extra apps clogging up phone storage and distracting us anymore.
I hope credit cards themselves don't get shut down, though. Credit cards are the most convenient and lowest-cost credit product available to everyday people.
