Today’s Audience: The 30-Second High Principle

A subtle flex—humblebragging, or whatever you want to call it—these days, by the time you're done showing off, everyone's already walked away. Even if they stick around out of politeness, they still won't get what the big deal was. What exactly makes two bottles of Maotai from different vintages worth the price? Is that rosewood plank genuinely solid, or just veneer over拼接? Old timber or new, or straight-up African wood passing as the real thing? The whole display takes too long, demands too many touchpoints, and requires both people to share enough cultural literacy and patience to land the joke.
Sorry about that—nobody's got the time anymore.
