When there's more demand than supply, it comes down to whether every single step is correct. If you've nailed them all, you get in line. If not, you wait—waiting for those who did it right but lost interest and dropped out, so you can step in.
As the laggard, you may feel inferior about your situation, but you must remain exceptionally confident in your determination to change. Everyone is better than you, and the gaps between you and others are obvious. You'll close them by copying and improving.
Holding a position for a year doesn’t mean you make no decisions—it means you repeat the same decision 365 times throughout that year. Every single day, you decide whether to keep holding or close the position. Only by choosing to hold for all 365 consecutive days does it appear as though you did nothing at all.
