Picking someone is a lot like venture capital — it’s inward-out.
If you see mate selection as an investment, as placing a bet, then this hand either pays off big or small. No one actually waits for fruit to ripen — when it does, it’s already gone.
What we’re doing is assessing whether the person themselves is outstanding.
Excellence can’t be quantified with data alone, so we look for reference points that validate it. Historical data lets us predict the future and know our floor.
Money by itself offers no margin — understand what I mean?

500 is the floor; X is the ceiling.
Data validation tells us ahead of time that we won’t lose — only how much we’ll win.
Trying to make money through marriage isn’t impossible, but the strategy is just like investing: find the divergence between value and price, and buy at the bottom divergence.
