Real Talk for Naive Youth: Emotions Don’t Equal Value

CategoryReading Notes

When you think, worries follow.
There are three things you won’t say.
1. If saying it gets you scolded, you won’t say it.
2. If no one will listen anyway, you won’t say it.
3. If you know deep down there’s no solution, you still won’t say it.

Emotions are an unreliable guide. Most weak people share one trait: they’re ruled by their emotions. They can’t control how they feel, so they’ll walk away from a good job or a meaningful relationship over a mood swing, or provoke someone they should have left alone—all because of how they feel in the moment.
In short, weak people treat their emotions as the most important thing and make decisions based on them instead of relying on reason.
