How People Become Liars

Because the truth is, no one likes to hear it, nor are they willing to accept it. They just label it as someone’s low emotional intelligence or poor communication skills. People talk as if you’d actually listen and change just because the truth was wrapped in a softer way.
That’s exactly why speaking the truth brings no reward—only falsehoods do. It’s really the hidden system of rewards and punishments in society.
In other words, tell the truth and get punished; lie and you’ll get a raise. Which would you choose? If you let honest people suffer losses, you need to realize there won’t be any honest people left around you.
