The Traffic Blower: Manufacturing Conflict
There are plenty of divisions in this country that can hold water—like the gender divide, Chinese versus Western medicine, and the classic mother-in-law-and-daughter-in-law tensions.
A lot of so-called big names or opinion leaders today love to stoke conflict and manufacture opposition, because creating discord pays huge dividends—whether it’s the traffic itself, monetizing that traffic, or cash from sponsors.
Create chaos. Chaos is a ladder.
But any person with a sense of responsibility and a conscience knows it’s easy to drive a wedge and hard to heal the rift.
Everyone, no matter how humble, has a duty to the fate of the nation.
I hope we can all think carefully about these issues instead of being used as stepping stones by unscrupulous people.
