If you earn one or two taels a day and someone insults you, you’ll get angry. If you earn ten taels a day and someone insults you, you’ll dismiss it. But if you earn ten thousand taels a day, you won’t even notice the insult—and might even feel sorry for the person hurling it.

Everyone’s confidence comes from their own strength. It’s strength that renders every attack against you meaningless.
