Twitter Hunter: $60k Monthly Earnings

CategoryNews Briefs

The product was born out of my own frustration with Twitter promotion—my tweets were getting zero engagement and delivering no results. That led to the idea of building a high-performance, searchable library of tweets so I could identify historically high-performing marketing content. That became the initial MVP.

It’s a classic example of building a product to solve your own problem. Since I represented a clear user persona, I quickly landed my first 50 paying customers.

The initial promotion relied mainly on my own Twitter activity and Reddit posts. Users signed up by leaving their email addresses, which built my email list and allowed me to maintain direct contact.

This phase took five months. The first three were spent releasing five different products, none of which generated strong paid conversions or meaningful user growth. After hitting a wall with Twitter marketing myself, the idea for a tool called Twitter Hunter emerged—and so I built it. The subsequent promotion efforts attracted 300 email sign-ups and converted 50 of those users into paying customers.

Within three months, revenue reached $3,500. At that point, I started selectively partnering with Twitter influencers, such as JK Molina. During our one-month collaboration, revenue jumped to $15,000 (JK is now my co-founder).

Other marketing strategies included offering free tools—like a feature that identifies your optimal posting times based on data, or one-click un-retweeting of all your past reposts.

I also listed these smaller utilities on Product Hunt to drive traffic back to the main product.

Once the product matured, I launched an affiliate program and secured partnerships with 450 promoters.

I reinvested profits into Twitter growth challenges, paid Google ads, and newsletter placements.

The business eventually reached 1,200 paying customers and $60,000 in monthly recurring revenue.

Today, it has evolved into a full-featured Twitter growth platform, adding capabilities like AI copywriting, scheduling, automation, social engagement, and analytics.
