The more you spend on something, the poorer you get

If you’re not a fitness champion, don’t run your own gym, aren’t a fitness influencer, and can’t make money from fitness, then every dollar and every hour you spend on it is consumption.

The same goes for travel.

Don’t buy into the myth that money is earned, not saved. Every cent you have comes from your life, your energy, and your time. For ordinary people, money is built by saving.

Don’t fall for the idea that you’d rather take a loss than miss an opportunity. You’re not Zhang Yiming, and you don’t have the risk tolerance to back that up. For most people, what looks like an opportunity is an illusion 99% of the time—and each one could be the thing that sinks you, financially and otherwise.
