A Bankrupt Boss’s Survival Guide
It's a story, and here's the tale:
The boss went bankrupt and came up with a money-making idea: patch up the holes in electric scooter seats, stick a payment QR code on them with a touching message, and then let people decide how much to pay.
The晒’d results showed nearly 600 yuan collected in a single day.
Why I think it's just a story:
Low costs are undisputed—about 0.5 yuan per patch—and the average 8 yuan per transaction is also factually晒’d, but...
First, this isn't sustainable. Once you've patched a seat, that customer won't come back unless you target both good and bad people alike.
Second, this isn't a viable business. How common are hole-ridden electric scooter seats? Moreover, where are you going to find so many large-scale electric scooters? Outside supermarkets, hospitals, and where else? If you go around touching people's property, don't you think someone will stop you?
Leaving behind a payment QR code makes your intentions obvious to anyone with a brain. Once they think about it, they'll immediately feel repulsed. You're dangerously close to强迫 sales.
In short, I don't see this as a good business. The market isn't big, it's labor-intensive, time-consuming, and physically demanding.
