Can We Win

Two armies fighting for high ground, each with 100 soldiers.

A moves fast, resting 10 minutes every two hours of running. After a day and night, they reach the destination only to find machine guns mounted at the top. A single burst wipes them all out.

Why?

Because B marches at full speed without stopping. Only 50 of them make it to the destination, but they set up their machine guns in advance.

From an individual's perspective, are you in the first 50 or the second 50?

In this game, all 100 of A lose. Only the first 50 of B win.

You need to think clearly about one thing: even if the company goes public, not everyone gets stock options.

If the company loses, you lose too. But if the company wins, you don't necessarily win.
