Is the Planet Really Warming?
Not sure if this is fake news
This Year Could Be the Coolest of the Next Decade
Combined with the energy consumption growth I saw earlier, it seems likely that by 350 years from now—perhaps within 450 years—humanity could go extinct as Earth's temperature reaches a boiling point.
The hallmark of global warming is more frequent extreme weather: scorching summers, bitter winters, and century-level floods hitting all at once. In layman's terms, greenhouse gases trap heat that can't escape (raising the yearly average temperature), and the resulting shift in overall temperature drives environmental change.
That's why air conditioners are being installed everywhere, which further increases energy consumption and worsens the greenhouse effect—a rather intractable cycle.
