Is Light Always Straight? It Depends on What It Encounters
If something with particularly high mass approaches, it won't travel in a straight line—it'll bend. Many people are rigid in their thinking; they insist on stubborn principles, whether it's 1 or 2, 3 or 4. Some people don't have fixed numbers at all. The world they understand is one of colliding masses—flexible, capable of yielding and extending.
Ordinary people judge others by their backbone—whether they'll hold onto rigid principles. The ones who insist are considered heroes; those who don't are labeled villains. That's why ordinary people can only remain ordinary. If an ordinary person wants to change their destiny, the only way is to stop being ordinary. There is no other method whatsoever.
How you interpret your boss's orders to advance or retreat is a matter of what you think in your own heart. When you speak it out, you only have one way to express yourself—you say this decision is absolutely correct, and then you work hard to execute it. There is only one situation when you should publicly challenge your boss—that's not because you're insisting on your own opinion, but because your boss needs it, having discussed it beforehand, under your boss's direction, to publicly challenge your boss in order to accomplish some kind of cooperation.
