Why Was I Fooled?
CategoryReading Notes
Would you trade a king crab for someone’s house?
It depends on whether you’ve actually seen one, whether you know the right people, and whether you know the price tag in the supermarket. People get scammed because they don’t know — they don’t know where to find a king crab, and they don’t know what a normal market price looks like.
Once you know, you won’t be fooled.
Why do girls need to be raised rich? Because a girl who has “seen it all” — who has tasted, experienced, and knows the going rates — won’t be taken in by a delinquent kid offering her a lollipop. Deep down, she already has a price list.
