Is the information gap being closed quickly?

Never assume that when something new emerges, everyone knows about it immediately—that’s impossible. Even in today’s internet era, you can’t count on instant awareness; the information gap takes weeks and months to close.

Take the restoration of the college entrance exam as an example. Did the whole nation care right away? No.

Only about 10% of people took it seriously at first. The next year, that number rose to 20%. By 1989, as earlier adopters started reaping the rewards, public concern gradually became widespread.

Many people mistakenly believe that just having heard something means they understand it, and that understanding means they can do it. In reality, knowing, understanding, doing, achieving results, and excelling are all entirely different things.

People can only do what they truly understand, and they can only earn money within the bounds of their own cognition.

Information asymmetry is, after all, just a temporal gap—and different people assign different values to it.
