Essentially, the product price and the service price are fully separated. The product price stands on its own, and the service price is used for differentiation. Additionally, for shared parts and equipment, you can skip personalized finishing—similar to pre-made meals, bringing items close to completion. Customers can handle the final steps themselves if needed. This approach reduces inventory pressure and lowers capital costs. Then, when they want the final step done for them, you charge a service fee. Fair enough, right? It’s definitely a strategy worth learning from.
